Peak season in Lake Tahoe is during the summer and winter. Summer (June to August) is a great time for hiking, boating, swimming, and going to the beach. Winter (December to February) is perfect for skiing and snowboarding. If you plan to visit during either of these times, be sure to book early.
Shoulder season is spring and fall. Spring (March to May) sees a mix of late-season skiing and blossoming trails, though some variable weather. Fall (September to November) sees stunning foliage and crisp mountain air.
