This magnificent 19th-century Mas is located just two kilometers from the village center of Saint Rémy de Provence and sleeps up to fourteen people with seven spacious air-conditioned bedrooms. Keeping the Provençal charm, the farmhouse is dressed with noble materials of the region and dressed with signed furniture.
The view of the park is superb, two magnificent plane trees in the foreground, a scented lavender field in the middle of which flows a small stream and in the background, a field of olive trees. A nice patio at the back of the house will allow you to enjoy the freshness of the morning.
The Mas consists of a spacious living room with a fireplace, under-floor cooling system, television, an office desk and comfortable sofas with large windows opening to the garden with its two magnificent plane trees. A spacious fully equipped modern kitchen with American style fridge/freezer and wine cooler plus a dining area that extends into the living room.
The bedrooms, one on the ground floor has their own terrace, office and bathroom. On the first floor, there is a family bedroom area with two bedrooms which share a large bathroom. Three other rooms, all of different decoration each have an en-suite bathroom and offer a nice view of the Alpilles hills. There is a small independent apartment with a spacious bedroom and a bathroom in the pool annex.
There is a large heated and secure swimming pool with a pool-house area plus a summer kitchen, inviting you to swim and relax under the Provencal sun with dramatic views of the Alpilles region. There are bicycles and table tennis available for guests to use.
St Remy-de-Provence is just over two kilometers. A charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants, it has winding cobbled lanes where you will discover small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colourful weekly market will offer the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see.
The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields and olive groves. This region is steep with history with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence which is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France, Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès and other towns one can easily visit in a day. At only 45 minutes drive to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargues unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
